Holy Child School successfully organized an enriching workshop on “STEAM Integration & Child Behavior Management” for its teaching faculty. The session was conducted by Mr. Avinash Kumar (M.A. Psychology, B.E. Mechanical Engineering), who blended his expertise in psychology and engineering to provide teachers with practical, classroom-ready strategies.
The workshop focused on integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) into everyday teaching through engaging, hands-on activities that nurture creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills among students. Mr. Kumar demonstrated several low-cost, activity-based experiments and explained their real-life engineering applications, enabling teachers to make classroom learning more interactive and experiential.
A key highlight of the session was Child Behavior Management, where teachers learned effective classroom management techniques based on positive reinforcement, child psychology, and student engagement. The session also covered practical approaches for handling group activities, encouraging positive classroom behavior, and creating an inclusive learning environment.
At the end of the workshop, participants were provided with activity sheets and a behavior management checklist to support the immediate implementation of the concepts discussed.
