Shagun Singh , a student of class 10 in the Holy Child School made a landmark achievement by winning the Gold Medal in athletics championship held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The Vice- Chairman of the school Mr. Vikas Batra told that the 19th junior athletics championship was held from 26th to 27th August in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The students of the school participated in it with great vigor and enthusiasm. Shagun, by winning a gold
medal in long jump under 16 age group category created history as she achieved the rare feet by winning the gold five times in a row. She proved her mettle on account of her hard work, rigorous training, discipline and the invaluable coaching and guidance provided to her at the school.
She has now secured her ticket to 33rd North Zone Junior Athletics Championship to be held from 2nd to 4th September at Karnal, Haryana.
The Vice Chairman Mr. Vikas Batra, Principal Mr. Mintu Dubey and all the teachers congratulated her on this occasion and wished her the best in future.
